Jun Yen's Guide Part 1

in A Waste of Time

This is the first part of a guide I will be making, consisting of ideas for the player who has just started 5 minutes ago to ideas for players at my level/higher (which currently consist of nobody but the Admin, who doesn’t count ). This guide will show you what to do in the beginning of the game, as it is a bit slow and confusing.

Upon logging into the game, look at the left hand sidebar. Use the compass to go one East, and then one West back to your starting town, Midworld, so as to obtain the Midworld map. From this moment on, you may “jump” to Midworld by clicking the Midworld button under “Travel To” on the left hand sidebar. Traveling to other places will consume various amounts of TP, which can be found out using the Map Store in any town upon buying the map. You will gain more TP as you level up. Of course, TP, HP, and MP can all be replenished at the inn for 5 gold each time. Now, please go to the bank.

At the bank, withdraw all your gold ( I know that there is a simpler way, but please bear with me for now (to all advanced players)). Then, go back to the town and go to “buy weapons/armor”. Buy the most expensive weapon and the most expensive armor, forget about the shield for now. Then, go back and deposit all but 5 of your gold into the bank, the 5 gold for convenience’s sake. However, if you wish to be safe, just deposit all.

To explore, use the compass on the left hand sidebar. Each time you move, you have a random chance of getting events, monsters, or nothing at all. Move until you find a monster, but do not move any more than 6 spaces away from Midworld (for safety).

Obviously, spam the “fight” button to kill the monster.

In theory, your hp should last you about 5 kills, which is enough to get 5 gold to replenish it. This yields very little gold, but is necessary until you get to about level 5 or 6. You may go further and further out when you level up.

Once getting to level 5 or 6, go back to the map store, and buy the Roma map. Then, go to Roma and buy the best weapons and armor (if they are new). Afterwards, continue training near Midworld. How do you know when you can safely advance to the next town? When you can access the town after, you may train safely in the current town. For example, towns A, B, and C… with C being the highest level monster base. Once you can access town B by travel (having enough maximum TP), you may train near town A. Once you can access town C, you may train near town B. A trick to this is, when you can access Bris, train near Roma… You can kill about one beast near Roma, then go back to Midworld to heal (for inns get expensive along the way), and use the TP to get back to Roma. Roma monsters give enough gold for this tactic. This can be repeated with almost every other A, B, and C relationship between towns, just always return to Midworld for the healing (cheapest).

Happy Wasting,
Jun Yen

Oh, yes- I forgot to add… the beginning of the game is quite slow- please bear with it for a while (about 2 hours of gameplay, I think…)
