Introduction
This edition of the State of the Forum will cover some of the exciting events that occurred, started, and occured/taking place in March 2009! This edition will also share some information that is usually only known by Admins.
State of the Forum?
This is the first State of the Forum. The correct and official abbreviation for the State of the Forum is SotF. The SotF is a monthly “newsletter” what will be emailed to all forum members and posted on the forum. It will inform members of news and events on the forum and some awesome behind the scenes information. Idea from the State of the Union.
News and Events
In March 2009 the Mainland and the forum both underwent several changes. The Mainland changed themes. The forum started a series of “carnivals” which allowed users to obtain more noodles. k, a Global Moderator, also started the SSBB Noodlescape March 2009 Tournament. For more information see section 5. The forum also reached 5000 posts!
New Features
This month we added several new boards. The SSBB character discussion area is now complete with boards for all characters. I’m not sure if you’ll consider this a “feature” but the forum did start running ads. A few new custom BBCodes were also added. We’re also currently waiting for a new logo.
SSBB March 2009 Tournament
k and I (Admin) recently organized a SSBB tournament that will take place in two days! k did most of the organizing. I just helped with the website: http://tournament.noodlescape.com. Registrations are currently closed. Videos of all matches will be posted after the tournament. Results will be posted after the tournament. For more information on rules go to the tournament website.
